교회에는 두 가지의 모습이 있습니다. 하나는 모이는 교회이고, 다른 하나는 흩어지는 교회입니다. 모이는 교회는 공교회로써의 모습을 의미하며, 흩어지는 교회는 예배 후에 세상으로 향해 나가는 소금과 빛의 성도들을 의미합니다. 속회는 흩어지는 교회의 역할을 하는 신앙 나눔의 공동체입니다.

속회의 시작은 존 웨슬리 목사님(1703-1791)과 동료 청년들이 매주 정기적으로 모여 기도와 신앙 일기쓰기, 말씀 묵상, 그리고 사회 봉사 활동을 통해 조직적으로 (method-ists) 경건의 추구에 힘썼던 것으로 시작되었습니다.

아무쪼록 믿음을 통한 체험적 신앙과 그리스도의 사랑에 기초한 삶의 경건, 그리고 봉사와 선교를 통한 신앙의 실천이 흩어지는 교회인 속회를 통해 이루어지기를 소망합니다. 

Church has two forms: a gathering church, and a scattering church. A gathering church is the role of the universal church (catholic church), and a scattering church means the role of saints as salt and light to the world. Small Groups (Cell Groups) are the Christian’s faithful community functioning as a scattering church for the world.

Small Groups began with John Wesley (1703-1791) and his friends, who started a meeting regularly once a week as they were called “method-ists”, for their holy lives through prayers, reading the Bible, and social services based on the faith.

You are invited to be a part of the scattering church, small groups, so that you may experience piety through faith, live a holy life based on Christ’s love, and practice faith through service and mission in small groups.

셀(속회)모임 안내 Guide for Cell(Class) Meeting

1. 하나님의 말씀을 나눈다 Share the Word of God:

‘생명의 삶’ 뒷부분에 있는 4,5개의 주간나눔 중에서 하나를 선정해서 나눈다. 속회원들에게 생명의 삶으로 매일 “경건의 시간”을 갖도록 권하고 격려한다. 

Share one week bible study from “Weekly Bible Study” sections of “Living Life.” Let’s encourage each other to have a daily Quiet Time through “Living Life.” 

2. 신앙간증과 나눔을 통한 친교 Fellowship through Testimony/Sharing:

하나님께서 각자 삶속에서 행하신 일과 자신과 하나님 사이에서 일어난 일을 나눈다.

Share your relationship with God and what God has done in your life.  

3. 기도의 시간을 갖는다 Have Prayer Time:

서로서로와, 교회/선교지를 위해, 특히 전도대상자를 위해 구체적으로 기도한다.

Pray for each other, our church, a designated mission field for your cell group meeting, & those who need to be reached out through your cell group meeting,  

4. 헌금 Offering

핍절한 자를 은밀히 돕는 구제, 지정선교지를 위해 나의 것을 나누는 헌금을 한다.
