인물성경공부 제 8과 야곱을 공부할 때 우리는 야곱의 꿈이라는 찬양가사를 같이 나누었고, 각자가 자기의 이름을 넣어서 하나님과 함께 꾸는 꿈, 비젼을 생각하며 시를 써보았습니다. 하나의 화일로 나누도록 할께요.
내가 2009년 희년을 맞이해서 병상에 누워있었을 때, 야곱의 꿈을 많이 많이 꾸었습니다. 하나님의 비젼이 내가 이 세상을 살아갈 이유이지요.

야곱은 영웅이 되기를 정말 원했지만
내가 그에게 진정 바랬던 모든 것은 나와 “친구”가 되는 것이었다.
내가 길이고, 진리고, 생명이니
야곱아, 언제까지 너는 거짓말을 할건지 말해주렴
너의 투쟁하는/애쓰는 노력으로 네가 더 강해진 적이 있었더냐?
너를 사랑하려고 내가 네게 내려왔을 때에도 너는 동틀때 까지 나와 싸웠단다.

마침내 야곱이 자려고 누우니

왕관이나 성공이 아닌, 한“왕”을 꿈꾸는 세대에 대한 꿈을
대중이나 사람을 즐겁게 하는 데 관심을 쏟기보다
나를 아는 일에만 관심있는 “왕”을 꿈꾸는 세대에 대한 꿈을

Jacob had a dream for all the ages
Jacob had a drive to build a nation
But the fighting is in vain
If your only aim is to build your own great name
야곱은 모든 세대를 위한 꿈을 갖고 있었다.
한 민족을 이루는/세워가는 추진력을 갖고 있었다.
그러나 너의 목표가 자신의 위대한 이름을 날리기 위한 것이라면
그 싸움은 다 헛된 것이란다.
Because My dream's not what you do
Jacob will you dream for me
The way that I have dreamed for you
왜냐하면 나의 꿈은 네가 무엇을 하는 것이 아니기 때문이다.
야곱아, 너는 나를 위한 꿈을 가질 수 있겠느냐?
내가 너를 위해 꾸었던 꿈처럼.

나는 야곱의 세대에게 다윗의 열쇠, 즉“친밀함”을 주었다.
나라들에게 길을 열어주고
나와의 친밀함을 계시해 주는 열쇠를
Jacob struggled most of his life to gain worth, ownership and recognition.
He stole, he lied, and he wrestled all in a strife-filled attempt to be somebody. He never realized that in striving to be somebody he was actually neglecting the very person God created him to be, His friend. So God never blessed Jacob while he was striving, lying, competing, or cheating . . . but rather while he was sleeping. These songs were given for the purpose of calling a generation back to intimacy with their Father. In history there have been few things more terrible than people who try to fulfill the great commission without first having understood God’s loving acceptance of them. As was the case with Jesus, before He ever healed a lame person, fed the five thousand, or raised the dead, He first heard His Father’s voice call out from heaven, “You are My beloved, and in You I am well pleased.”
야곱은 그의 생애의 대부분을 가치있는 자가 되고자, 소유권을 갖고자,
인정받고자 투쟁했습니다.
그는 누군가가 되기 위해 훔쳤고, 거짓말했고, 투쟁으로 가득찬 시도들로 씨름했습니다.
야곱은 그가 누군가가 되고자 애쓰는 동안에 정말은 자기를 창조하신, 그의 친구 하나님 바로 그분을 무시하고 있다는 것을 알지 못했습니다.
그래서 하나님은 야곱이 투쟁하고, 거짓말하고, 경쟁하고, 속이는 동안 그를 축복하지 않았습니다. 오히려 야곱이 잠든 동안에야 하나님은 그를 축복할 수 있었습니다.
이 노래는 자신들의 아버지와 친밀하게 되어야 할 세대를 부를 목적으로 지어졌습니다.
역사 속에서 자신들을 향한 하나님의 사랑을 먼저 이해하지 못한 채, 선교의 대분부를 성취하고자 했던 사람들 보다 더 무서운 사람들이 없습니다.
절름발이를 고치기 전에, 오천명을 먹이기 전에, 죽은 자를 살리기 전에, 예수님은 먼저 하늘로 부터 “너는 나의 사랑하는 자요, 나의 기뻐하는 자이니라”는 음성을 들었습니다. 예수님이 그러셨던 것처럼 우리는 그와 먼저 친밀해야 할 것입니다.
In Mark 3:13 Jesus calls to Himself those that He wanted
so that they might be with Him.
This last year I’ve learned that in the Scriptures
it’s much rarer to be called a ‘friend’ of God than it is to be ‘used’ by God.
마가복음 3장 13절에서 예수님은 그가 원하는 자들을
“그와 함께 있게 하고자” 자신에게로 부르십니다.
지나간 해에 저는 성경 속에서 하나님에 의해 “쓰임받은” 것보다
하나님의 “친구”로 불리운 것이 보다 드물게 나온다는 것을 배우게 되었습니다.
